Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely! I believe it is essential that we meet before you even pay your deposit! I also love the opportunity to get to know potential clients and hear about how they met, got engaged, and their wedding day plans.
What if you have not photographed at our Venue before?
I will always arrange a visit to familiarise myself with your venue and meet your wedding coordinator before the wedding.

I have worked at many venues in Scotland, including The Hub , The Balmoral Hotel, The Scotsman Hotel, The Glasshouse, Prestonfield House, The Merchant's Hall, Orocco Pier, Royal Botanic Garden and more...
Someone I know has offered to do our wedding photography for £100.
There are photographers of all levels and experience offering different prices for what looks like the same package. If a photographer quotes a low rate, there is a very real risk they may not be able to produce the high quality images that you want. Someone offering this service for such a low price could be just starting out in their trade.

I have built up years of experience and have invested heavily in the professional equipment and ongoing personal development to create beautiful photography that exceeds all of my clients expectations.
Are you insured?
I have both professional liability and indemnity insurance to make sure that you, the client, are fully protected.
How far do you travel?
I photograph weddings throughout the country so distance is no object. Travel expenses are included within the Edinburgh area, if your wedding is further afield travel costs may be extra.
What happens if it rains on my wedding day?
I am very happy to continue shooting in the rain, if you are happy to go out in it! Realistically it is worth considering a plan ’B’ as to where to take the photographs if we cannot go outside, this will be discussed at your pre-wedding meeting.
What will you do if your camera breaks on the day?
Use another one! I have backup equipment for every major component of my kit, which I bring to every wedding.
How long will you attend the wedding for?
Depending on which package you choose, as long as you like. The top package includes attendance for up to 8 hours.
How long does it take to get our pictures?
My aim is to have the editing and post production of your photographs done in 4-6 weeks.
I have a particular style of photography in mind, are you able to take similar photographs?
If you see images in bridal magazines that you like, bring them along to the pre-wedding meeting and I will do my best to reproduce them on the day.
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
